Let's hack the future

The Entrepreneurship Cell at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune recently announced its flagship event “Hackathon 2k21 - Let’s hack the future.” The event is powered by one of the top firms in India, Juspay Technologies, in association with AlgoUniversity.
The students at E-Cell have always looked forward to fueling the entrepreneurial exhilaration dwelling among the students in our country.

With this notion in mind, they established E-Cell IIIT Pune in December 2020 with an evocative tagline - “Think. Innovate. Sell. Prosper.” Staying put to their statement, they have been coordinating events for the inquisitive minds to train and test themselves in the entrepreneurial domain. E-Cell has already witnessed an encapturing success in its past two events - “Ideathon 2k21” & “The Silk Route Quiz” - even in the virtual mode with a footfall of nearly 500 participants from over 150 colleges across the country. Hackathon 2k21 is also expecting a similar horde of participants.

The registrations for the event begin on 8 June 2021 on DevFolio and will end on 17 June 2021. There is zero registration fee for Hackathon 2k21 and is open to anyone enrolled in a UG/PG course globally. The event will take place in two rounds. In the first round, which will get going on 18 June 2021, participants will be assigned a real-world problem statement depending upon their choice of discipline out of the given three - Android App Development, Full Stack Web Development, and Front-end Web Development. They will have to submit their solution approach before the portal closes on 20 June 2021. Experts will assess the entries to finally announce the participants qualifying for the second and final round - the final coding sprint - on 23 June 2021.
The event comes up with the chance to first-hand witness eminent personalities through Online Workshops and Speaker Sessions from 21 June - 24 June 2021. Hear straight from the likes of Aman Dhattarwal (CEO & Founder, Apni Kaksha), Manas Kumar Verma (CEO & Co-founder, AlgoUniversity), and Mamta Kumari (Co-founder, PrepBytes) about their enthralling journey towards being an entrepreneur. Their enticing words will be an addition to the buzzing air of entrepreneurial curiosity.

Round 2, a nearly sleepless 50 hours coding marathon spread across three days from 25 June - 27 June 2021, will finally get the ball rolling. This is where the top coders will be pulling their hair to build their hack that could bring about a paradigm shift to the problems existing around us.
The event has a humongous cash prize worth INR 1,00,000 and goodies worth more than INR 2,00,000 on stake. This is the highest scale among the newly established IIITs and has also set a competition for the rest. Hackathon 2k21 is the ideal package an aspiring entrepreneur and software developer needs. While they spent their whole lives being on the user-end, this is their chance to get on the other side of the line and develop terrific software solutions to change the definition of user experience and make the world a step closer to a better future. The event will mark its end with the ceremonious prize distribution on 27 June 2021.
